Race and Sexuality


Tyler Gay is a second year MA/PhD student with an interest in the intersections of race, gender, and sexuality. His pronouns are (He, Him, His). His specific focus is on the experiences of Black queer masculinities and of Black queer culture. He is interested in adopting queer/feminist theories and methodologies in his research agenda. Tyler’s past and current research includes performances of queer deviance in pop culture, queering feminism, and systematic racism in American education and healthcare.
