Gender, Mental Health, Sexuality
I received my masters in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality studies at GSU. While in the program, my thesis, titled “Women’s Narratives of Their Experiences with the Diagnosis of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD),” humanized women with BPD in a way previous literature has not. My research interests revolve around gender, feminist theory, disability studies, and mental health, as I believe medical sociology should be radicalized by feminist theory. My dissertation will explore the invisibility of those who are both queer and mad.
