Biography

I have a BA in Psychology from North Carolina State University, an MA in Public Sociology from UNC-Wilmington, and a PhD in Sociology from GSU. My areas of interest pertain to intersectional social inequality in the context of power, privilege, oppression, and transgression, including aspects of gender, sexuality, race, capitalism, dis/ability, colonization, religion, and social change. In the classroom, I center the experiences of power minorities and encourage students to build a critical voice through which they can “question everything.”
